I totally hear you, Christine! And, so respect your decision! I started a Substack and then found about the Nazi subculture and support on the platform so have let it go fallow. Its hard to find any platform free of some connection to war, genocide, ecocide and on and on these days. I'm still on Patreon and occasionally posting on Instagram to stay connected to my followers there. So hard to know which direction to go! I'll continue to read your newsletter and look for your posts.
Kele, you have impressed me beyond all measure with how you’ve decided to handle your career and the marketing of it. I wish I was as brave as you! It’s so sad to realize how many of the tech giants are corrupt, and sometimes we have to choose what we feel is the lesser evil, but it’s disheartening to say the least. It is hard to know in which direction to go. I’ve heard recently from a successful business woman I know that the way to go is to enter people’s DMs directly. Just chat with people there, offer them help when you can, and try to develop real relationships, because ultimately, that is how they will remember us. I will continue to read your Patreon posts, too. I’m always rooting for you!
Awww thanks so much, Christine! You are brave and I so respect the position you're taking. I guess all we can do is continue to support one another and real art. It's all that matters, really. xo
You will definitely still see me on Bluesky. I won’t delete this account either, in case I have a change of heart at some point. I just won’t be posting here. I may still read some posts here from time to time. I love your stories, so I want to be able to read them when I can.
I know. It’s quite disheartening. I know we can’t fight them all, but for me, the biggest reason is time. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to keep up with it all. I wish you all the best, too!
I wasn’t aware of it, either. It skews how I feel about the platform. Thanks for telling me about Wrizzit as I haven’t heard of it. We can definitely keep in touch! I believe we have each other’s emails.
there is a wonderful platform called Wrizzit that was created in response to the first time hate groups were found on substack. There are loads of Substack writers over there many carrying over their user names and work from here. check it out. ,✨🦋
Thanks, Liz! I’ll look for your books online because I love your writing! I want to buy Marsh Witches of the Godless Florin, so if you have a mailing list, I’ll join it so I won’t miss the release (if you haven’t already released it)! xox
Thank you Christine. I have downloaded my mailing list from here so I have a starting point for just that. So when it’s released you’ll know. Thanks so much for your kind words. It’s so appreciated and so encouraging.
You’re welcome, Liz. I’ve been trying to figure out how to download my mailing list from here, but so far, haven’t been successful. I’ve looked up the instructions, but I can’t find the place I’m being directed to on the desktop version of Substack. I’m so pleased that you’ll email me when your book comes out, though!

Sorry to see you go! Though I totally get it. Hopefully I’ll still see you on Bluesky!

It seems that all social media platforms have become a cesspool. It's discouraging. I understand why you are leaving. Wishing you the best!

Sad to see you go - I wasn’t aware of this subversive slant. I’ll look into Wrizzit as @verdantbutterfly suggests.
I hope we can stay in touch 👋🏽

Thanks, Bob! I wrote about why I’m leaving in my latest post. We can keep in touch on other platforms if you like.
